Position Overview

Pender Capital is seeking a Highly Experienced Commercial Real Estate Appraiser to serve as a Part-Time, Contract-Based In-House Property Evaluator. This role is ideal for a Professional with 10+ Years of Experience looking for flexible, part-time work. The primary responsibility will be conducting on-site property evaluations across various asset types nationwide, providing expert property assessments, and offering insight into real estate investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Travel extensively across the United States to conduct on-site property evaluations (All Travel Expenses Reimbursed).
Assess physical conditions, market positioning, and investment potential of commercial properties, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, and land.
Provide high-level property insights and risk assessments based on years of real estate expertise.
Communicate findings to the internal investment team and senior leadership, offering a seasoned perspective on property strengths, weaknesses, and potential concerns.
Review third-party appraisals and provide expert feedback on valuation accuracy.
Serve as a trusted resource for Pender Capital’s underwriting and lending teams, helping validate investment decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

10+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Appraisal, Property Inspections, or Investment Evaluation.
Solid background in assessing a wide range of commercial asset types.
Prior experience working with lenders, private equity firms, or real estate investment groups is highly preferred.
Strong ability to provide qualitative insights on real estate properties beyond standard financial analysis.
Comfortable traveling extensively to inspect properties.
Strong verbal communication skills to effectively relay findings to senior leadership.
