Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Analysis
- Assist in gathering and analyzing data related to property sales, leases, and market trends.
- Conduct field inspections to collect pertinent information on property conditions and characteristics.
Appraisal Report Preparation
- Support the preparation of comprehensive appraisal reports under the guidance of senior appraisers.
- Ensure all reports comply with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and company standards.
Market Research
- Conduct research on local and regional real estate markets to support valuation analyses.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of comparable sales and rental information.
Client Communication
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on appraisal assignments for senior appraisers.
- Address client inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Have initiated, or completed, the Pre-License Education for appraisers in the state of IL.
Experience
- Prior experience or internships in real estate, finance, or related fields are advantageous but not required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Willingness to pursue state appraisal licensure and subsequent professional designations (e.g., MAI) with company support.
- Demonstrated integrity and adherence to ethical standards.
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally within the appraisal field.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
