Description Clear Falls Valuations is seeking an experienced Staff Appraiser to join our growing team! The Staff Appraiser is responsible for conducting valuations and appraisal related activities for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete 1–4-unit Residential Appraisals that are in accordance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and compliant with local, state and federal laws.
  • Gather, verify and analyze data to develop an opinion of fair market value using generally accepted appraisal practices, including, but not limited to, measuring and physically inspecting the exterior and interior of property, research and analyze comparable sales/listings/rentals, assess quality and condition, analyze statistical data and highest and best use of the property.
  • Read and interpret plats, maps, deeds, blueprints, and other similar documents.
  • Employ recognized techniques and methodology necessary to develop credible results.
  • Conduct appraisal reviews for accuracy and verify the opinion of value reflects the market value, condition, and marketability of the subject property in compliance with Fannie Mae’s Selling Guide requirements.
  • Work independently and manage a changing workload.
  • Meet all company goals for key performance indicators (quality, productivity, and turnaround time, etc)
  • Understand, adhere to, and remain current on Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Fannie Mae Selling Guide, state and regulatory guidelines.
  • Demonstrate high standards of ethics, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist management with inquiries that require the appraiser’s subject matter expertise.
  • Attend training and other related required events.
  • Maintain Continuing Education requirements necessary to meet licensing and company requirements

Knowledge, Experience, Education Required

  • State Issued, Valid Appraiser Trainee License, Residential Appraiser License, Certified Residential Appraiser License, or Certified General Appraiser License
  • Must Meet All Other Requirements as Dictated by the Applicable State Appraiser Licensing Regulator
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be Organized and Have Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Must Have the Ability to Provide for Transportation to/from Subject Properties for Inspections
