Through acquisitions in 2021 and 2023 our forestry consulting business provides a wide range of appraisal, acquisition due-diligence, litigation support, forest modeling and other consulting services branded as Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting (SFNR), which has provided forestry consulting services since 1880.
Our Corporate Office is located in Old Town, Maine. HRC also has satellite offices in Wisconsin, Michigan and Oklahoma.
Role Description
To service Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting (SFNR) client’s natural resource valuation and other consulting needs. This will be accomplished by leading projects focusing on timberland appraisals and non-appraisal consulting assignments.
This position has the option to be remote.
Qualifications
- Expertise in forestry consulting technical services, including: Real estate appraisal, Forest valuation, Acquisition due diligence
- Strong understanding of: Forest inventory (principles, design, execution)
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and proficiency in word processing software
- Working knowledge of GIS
- Minimum B.S. in Forestry (preferably with forest management, economics, and business) or a related field
- Advanced degree (MSF, MF, or MBA) is a plus
- At least 5 years of experience as a certified general real estate appraiser
